A native of a remote village in Darbhanga district 24-year-old Bhawana
Kanth has made Bihar proud by becoming one of three first women fighter
stream pilots in India's history. Kanth along with Avani Chaturvedi and
Mohana Singh would be completing their training and join the force on
June 18.
"For Bhawana, it was a childhood dream to be a fighter pilot, something only boys were expected to aspire to be. "But we never made her feel that she needed to think any different just because she is a girl " says Bhawana's father Tej Narayan Kanth who is currently serving as an electrical engineer in IOC Mathura.
She did her schooling (class X) with 92.8% marks from Barauni oil refinery (Begusarai district) DAV school. After doing plus two from Vidya mandir, Kota she joined BMS engineering college, Bangalore for doing BTech in medical electronics. After completing B Tech she was joined air force service commission.
she is currently training at air force base in in Telangana.
she made mithilanchal as well as whole Bihar to proud & it is again proved that Biharis are doing excellent in every field.
