Seven rounds and Seven hundred saplings - Proud daughter of Bihar!
And the social worker Kiran Kumari tied her knots with Kumar Ramesh. But before taking the seven rounds in front of fire - Shaadi ke saat fere, what she had done is now an inspiration to the people of world.
Kiran, daughter of Jitendra Kumar belongs to Magar village of Motihari District, Bihar yesterday had planted 700 saplings before her marriage wearing the yellow saree with her mehndi hands. She had taken the pledge and succesfully fulfilled it.
Working in Patna State Health Association, Kiran said, "Saving environment is everyone's responsibility and I had taken the pledge that I will plant 700 saplings before starting my new phase of life."
She had full support of her family and friends in her pledge.
Kiran has also been rewarded by Bihar Congress Academy in 2006 for her research on saving the drying of Sheesham trees.
We appreciate this effort of Kiran and request all the people to take this as inspiration take pledge today to save environment by planting trees.
